The famous oceanologist has made a strange experiment in 1986. Not far from Djibouti, near the El-Kharab detroit, in the Koubé area, Cousteau and his crew immerged a shark cage containing the body of a camel. When they haul it, the cage was totally crushed. According to unverified rumours, Cousteau has made a film of the creature but it was of bad quality and humanity was not ready to assimilate the discovery

 

 

 

Dr. Bernard Heuvelmans

The inventor of cryptozoology, Bernard Heuvelmans has made an autopsy of the “Homo Pongoids”, a sort of missing link that has been captured and transported in a block of ice. Unfortunately, the specimen disappeared in 1968. Fortean pretends  to have interviewed the owner of the relic in 1996.

 

  

 

Maya Bykova

Country : Russia

One of the leading Russian authorities on Bigfoot was Maya Bykova, who passed away in 1996, leaving behind a legacy of serious scientific inquiry into the phenomenon. Bykova graduated from the Moscow Agricultural Academy in 1955. For many years she studied Bigfoot (naming it Relict Hominoid), and she authored three books on the elusive creature: A Legend for Adults; He Is, Though He Must Not Be; and Not That Frightful Thing.

 

 

 

  

Deborah Martyr

Country : England

The english writer has been searching for the Orang Pendek since 1994 in the jungle of Borneo. She has reported four sightings and collected many tracks.

 

 

 

John Green

Specie : Bigfoot

Country : USA

Green has collected more than 3000 eye witness accounts from the United States and Canada, in some cases even obtaining sworn affidavits. Most sightings are in the Pacific Northwest, others come from as far East as Indiana and Arkansas. Green admits some reports turned out to be false. But he is convinced "most" are authentic.

 

 

  

Robert Rines

Country : USA

Together with Sir Peter Scott, the Boston lawyer and professor at the MIT has organised several expeditions on the Loch (1971, 1996, 1998) and produced some strange pictures from sonars that revealed after computer enhancement something that could resemble part of the monster.

  

 

 

Marie-Jeanne Koffman

Specie : Almaty

Country : France/Russia

She became a captain from the Red Army after having emigrated to Russia before WWI. She participated to many russian expeditions in the Pamir mountains and Azebaïdjan but has not collected other evidences than tracks and testimonies.

 

 

  

Richard Greenwell

Specie : Yeti, Bigfoot, Ri, Mokele Membe, …

Country : USA

After being involved in UFO, Greenwell became the Secretary of the International Society of Cryptozoology and participated to many expeditions across the world.

 

 

  

Clyde Roper

Specie : Architheuthis (giant squid)

Country : USA

A zoologist from the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, Clyde has organized several expeditions in New Zealand (1997, 1999, 2003?) to find out the giant squid.

 

 

 

Loren Coleman

Specie : LakeMonsters, Bigfoot, Giant Snakes, Mystery Felids, Mothman, Thunderbirds

Country : Canada

Even if he is not the most famous living cryptzoologist he pretends to be, Coleman has gained traction in the arena through his websites, Cryptomundo and the Cryptozoologist. He is considered as an authority in the field through he has not made any major discovery yet.

The lucky author of the famous film of Bigfoot which has been controversial since it was taken in 1967. He died from cancer swearing that it was true and not faked.
